Fast-Trailer Range

The FT Range of Trailers originally designed specification for 80kph tractor operation. To meet this requirement and give a required braking efficiency of 50% a 10 stud commercial axle with brake size of 406mm x 120mm mounted on a 3 leaf commercial parabolic spring set (alternative axles available). A dual line air braking system along with hydraulic brakes are fitted as standard equipment.

A Load Sensing Value (LSV) is fitted along with mudguards, sprung drawbar and 360° swivel hitch, full regulation lighting to include amber side marker lamps. A totally different body was designed for this model, which uses a 4mm floor, 3mm side panels pressed with 4 vertical body supports and a top hinged tailgate with additional over centre swing locking device midway up the door.

The end result was a trailer which could withstand the additional speed over a conventional Farm Trailer.
