The
RCT14 features a body of 23 3 (705mm) long
x 8 0 (2440mm) wide x 6 0 (1065mm) deep with
a unique body side and floor panels made in
one piece to remove corner welded joints,
a corner body radius replaces conventional
bevel corners. This large body gives a true
615cu.ft (17.4cu.mtr) struct level internal
volume. The complete body manufactured with
4mm floor sheets and floor panels. A full
width high vision grid bar window 600m deep
with bolt in perspex, window is standard equipment
together with hydraulic operated tailgate. |
The
main chassis is manufactured from 250mm x
150mm x 10mm RHS. Grade 50D high-grade box
section. The basic model has twin rams, but
a single tipping ram version is available
as an option. The chassis is mounted on 3
leaf commercial parabolic springs and 100mm
sq. 10 stud commercial axles complete with
sprung drawbar and swivel hitch, fitted hydraulic
brakes as standard. Tyre size is 385/65R 22.5
remould tyres with various flotation options
available. The criteria of this new design
was to offer a low side to enable crop to
be discharged into the trailer with minimal
damage and also to offer a larger tractor/trailer
braking efficiency within the cost of the
basic trailer.

This new trailer model is fitted with a high speed
chassis and hydraulic brakes only for agricultural
speed 30kph. It will be relatively easy at some
future date to convert this trailer to 50kph. The
additional equipment to convert will be 2 line air
braking, mudguards and regulation side marker lights,
which would make this trailer 50kph compatible
The 3 Model Range of Fenlander Trailers have been
given a new body style, incorporating designs feature
of the RCT Model. The body retains the longitudinal
body pressing and the top body pressing has been
increased in depth to increase strength. The lower
part of the body uses the unique one piece body
panel to incorporate the radius button as the RCT
Range the chassis remains as previous using 250mm
x 150mm box section to form the chassis and the
sprung tandem unit is being upgraded in line with
other models.
